All Natural Skincare Handmade Bath Recipes: Salt Scrub

All Natural Skincare Handmade Bath Recipes: Salt ScrubExfoliating your skin with salt scrubs... like an all natural skincare handmade bath recipes salt scrub is a gentle abrasive action that scrubs away dead skin cells, revealing your softer skin underneath.

Are you aware that exfoliation allows moisturizer to penetrate more easily, helps prevent ingrown hairs and gives your skin a fresh rosy glow.

For a basic salt scrub, you can use simple table salt! For a more luxurious feel, choose a finely textured sea salt, or you can add rock salt or kosher salt for a coarser mix. You can even mix them together.

You can use just about any oil in your salt scrub recipe. Almond oil is delicate but it spoils quickly. Almond oil is not recommended if your scrub is going to sit around for a while, or if you're giving your salt scrub as a gift. Canola oil, sunflower oil, grape seed oil & jojoba oil are alternatives to use.

Creating your own salt scrub allows you to mix in whatever scents you choose. ... Popular essential oils are lavender, lemon, orange... a few drops is more than enough.

How to Make a Bath Salt Scrub

The basic recipe for a salt scrub is quick, easy and makes a great gift idea.

One cup salt
One cup oil
A 4-5 drops of essential oils

For a firmer, less runny scrub, try two parts salt to one part oil, and then add oil to reach consistency you want. If the salt and oil separate, stir them back together before you use the scrub.

Using your scrub is as simple as rubbing it gently onto your skin before you shower. Don't scrub too hard or too long: you just want to rub away your dead skin cells.

After your scrub apply a moisturizer and your skin will feel & look soft, fresh & silky.

Tip: Be careful in the tub, because the oil will make your bathtub slippery.
